Pick Me Up

As I mentioned earlier this week, I was in Napa over the weekend. We had these adorable little donuts at the Boon Fly Cafe that I had to share with you. I can almost still taste them!

Fresh Crop

Take a look at these new picks from Urban Outfitters. Love their style...

Couch, side table, bench, headboard wall decal, chair, table, rug

Fall Nails

I am almost giddy at the thought of fall nail colors. I want to be a little adventurous this year with dark, moody jewel tones. Here are my top choices:

RGB Sea, Butter British Racing Green,Deborah Lippmann Dark Side of the Moon, Essie Midnight Cami, Chanel Steel

French-Country Getaway

For those of you that have been reading the blog for awhile, you know that I love going up to Napa. Maybe its the sun, maybe its the wine, maybe its the food...maybe its all three but I just can't get enough.

This weekend I went to a new winery called Swanson Vineyards. It was so my style--french country, outdoor tables, pistachios and desert wine. They were friendly and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Mmmmm, can't wait to go back. Thanks Yelp!

 ...until next time

Easy Art

Are you looking for unique, affordable artwork? Let me let you in on a little secret of mine...Papersource scrapbook paper. They have beautiful papers that are all under $4 a page.

Last week, I picked up a sheet of sillouettes and some pewter glittery paper and combined them to make a simple but beautiful piece of artwork for my bathroom.

Here are some pictures from the project...

Inspired Tart

As a devoted follower of Spoon Fork Bacon I had to make this tart with all of my favorite things (goat cheese, figs, caramelized onions) Follow the recipe on the link above. Here are the pics from my version of the tart. Mmmmm.

A Rose Is...

As Juliette said,

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."
I bought some firey yellow-red roses this week. I love having a little color in the bathroom and on the coffee table. I just had to share these pretty pics with you.

Emmys Dress to Room

There were blessedly few crazy outfits on the Emmys red carpet this year. Here are some of my favorites and of course what room what be inspired by them.

Windsor Smith, Unknown

Your New Favorite

Move over William's Sonoma and Sur la Table, there is a new dish place in town...Fishs Eddy. I received some adorable wine glasses from my sis for my birthday (not these exact ones but similar)...

212 Glasses

 Floor Plan Platter

Glove Molds

Black Cake Stand (how dramatic!)

Toile Pitcher (is it possible to be in love with a pitcher?)

I could go on and on and on...but I suggest you check out fishseddy.com.

Who is your favorite designer?

Its back to interior design folks. I know, I know its been awhile since we last spoke about it. I guess that I have the clothes shopping bug lately and am feeling good about my apartment layout/decor.

Ok...back to interior design. So I want to share with you today my favorite designer. It is kind of a hard question to answer, your favorite designer. But Windsor Smith is mine. When I look over the work that she has done, I can't help but love every part of it. A few months ago, she invited House Beautiful into her home. Here are the pictures from that article (sorry they are not super high quality). How is this for inspirational?
